urban decay

Standard

Tweenz’s rather morbid wheatpaste of a decaying head decorates an abandoned storefront in Oakland. The realistically rendered face looks like an illustration you’d expect to find in a dusty, centuries-old volume on anatomy or black magic, except perhaps filthier. The recognizable face devolves into a tangle of dark, chaotic forms that appear to consume what’s left of the head. Though the artist didn’t include any actual gore, the mass of lines creates a sense of the incomprehensibility of death.

CORRECTION: This is by ATWA, part of the crew Tweenz. Thanks for the comment.
